Hi, I’m Dr. Trevor Boon (he/him/his)! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with a strong foundation in psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment, trauma-informed care, and multicultural responsiveness. I was raised in the Midwest and trained across a wide range of clinical settings, from inpatient hospitals to community mental health centers, before making San Diego home.

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology in 2019, following a Master's degree from the same institution and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Dordt College. Over the past decade, I’ve specialized in psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults, conducting full battery evaluations for a wide variety of concerns including ADHD, autism, learning disorders, trauma, and complex mental health diagnoses.

One area of my work I am especially proud of is supporting immigrants through the completion of N-648 Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions. I’ve conducted these evaluations for individuals whose mental health conditions significantly impair their ability to learn English or U.S. civics. I’ve worked closely with professional interpreters across languages, including Arabic and Chaldean, to ensure accurate and compassionate evaluations that honor clients’ backgrounds and needs.

My clinical background includes treating active-duty military members coping with trauma, addiction, and mood disorders, as well as working with veterans through the VA system to assess service-related mental health conditions. I’ve supervised doctoral interns and practicum students and am deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of clinicians.

Whether I’m working with someone in a moment of crisis or helping them gain clarity through psychological testing, I strive to provide a thoughtful, respectful, and culturally aware space. I view assessment and therapy as collaborative processes that can bring empowerment and insight, and I look forward to supporting you through that journey.
